Safety starts with layout

Most incidents at animatronic exhibits come from visitors entering a zone the show did not expect. Physical barriers, clear floor markings and a defined reaction zone do more than any warning sign. Design the space so the safe behaviour is the obvious one.

Train the three responses

Staff need three practised responses: stop the motion, clear the zone, call for support. Rehearse them during setup, not during an incident. A team that has never pressed the emergency stop will hesitate at the worst moment.

Daily checks belong to the operator

Opening checks should be short and repeatable: barriers intact, motion limits working, no unusual noise, no skin damage. Record completion. The value is not the form, it is the habit of looking before the doors open.

Communicate to the visitor

Signage should say what to do, not only what not to do. Tell visitors where the dinosaur will move and where to stand. Clear direction reduces the need for staff to intervene and keeps the experience calm.

Incident learning

Record near misses, not only incidents. A weekly review of what almost happened is the cheapest safety improvement available, and it tells the supplier which parts of the design need attention.

标识要告诉观众该怎么做，而不只是不能做什么。说明恐龙会在哪里动作、站在哪里合适。清晰的引导能减少员工干预，也让体验更从容。

从事件中学习

记录未遂事件，而不只是事故。每周回顾一次差一点发生的事，是成本最低的安全改进，也能告诉供应方设计上哪些部分需要调整。
