The Real Raptor

Deinonychus inspired Jurassic Park Velociraptor but was actually larger and more heavily feathered. Scientifically accurate life-size Deinonychus animatronics showcase the current understanding of dromaeosaurid anatomy with full plumage and accurate proportions.

Feather Implementation

Individual feather vanes sculpted and positioned according to fossil impressions. Layered construction: downy underlayer, contour feathers, and display plumes. Color pattern based on melanosome analysis where available, informed speculation otherwise. Feather movement responds to wind simulation and behavioral states. Maintenance includes periodic cleaning and replacement of damaged elements.

Sickle Claw Mechanics

The iconic retractable sickle claw on each foot is fully articulated. Extension and retraction synchronized with attack sequences. Claw capable of puncture-resistant material testing demonstration. Independent toe articulation allows grasping and pinning behaviors. Safety blunting for public interaction zones.
