I'm not just for show—I'm built to be experienced. Kids climb onto my back, gripping my neck tight as I gallop across a 30-foot padded track with hydraulic-powered swings. I'm a rideable Velociraptor, brought to life by the laughter of riders. Every launch is a new adventure. After tens of thousands of rides, I still love that feeling.

My builders understand a fundamental truth: children don't want to see dinosaurs; they want to ride them. Static displays inspire awe, but movement inspires ownership. When a child climbs onto my back, I'm no longer a distant exhibit. I become their mount, their companion, and their steed into an imagined prehistoric world. The line between observer and participant dissolves with every pulse of the hydraulic pump.

Safety defines me, not spectacle. My movements are precisely calibrated—thrilling yet protective. A speed limiter prevents unsafe acceleration. An emergency stop button is within reach of both operators and riders. Pads cover every hard surface. Weight sensors detect overloading and prevent startup. I'm exhilarating, never reckless. The trust parents place in me when they lift their children onto my back is sacred; I honor that trust with every engineering safety measure.

I've hosted birthday celebrants, nervous beginners, confident veterans, and siblings jostling for front-row seats. I've felt the trembling grip of a four-year-old experiencing controlled fear for the first time, and the relaxed lean of a seven-year-old who's ridden me so many times we're practically friends. I'm the centerpiece of party packages, a reward for good grades, and the consolation prize after disappointment on other rides.

Maintenance keeps me reliable. Weekly checks include hydraulic fluid levels, structural welds, pad integrity, and control system response. Monthly deep maintenance involves disassembly, lubrication, component testing, and reassembly. Annual certification verifies compliance with amusement ride safety standards. I don't require maintenance because I'm fragile—I earn it through trust. When children are involved, reliability isn't optional.

Other attractions offer passive entertainment: screens display visuals, speakers play audio. I deliver an embodied experience. Children feel my movement in their muscles and hear my mechanical roar in their bones—memories that outlast video games and movie plots. Body memories endure longer than digital ones; I am the vessel of body memory.

When the park closes and the last rider dismounts, I come to a standstill. The hydraulic system sighs. Lights dim. But tomorrow, I'll roar again, carrying new adventurers into a world that exists only in imagination and motion. This is my mission—and it's enough.
