How to Choose the Right Dinosaur for Your Exhibition

Choosing the Perfect Dinosaurs for Your Exhibition

Selecting the right animatronic dinosaurs for your exhibition requires careful planning and consideration of multiple factors. This guide helps you make informed decisions that create memorable visitor experiences while staying within budget.

Define Your Exhibition Goals

Before selecting specific dinosaurs, clarify your exhibition objectives:

• Educational focus vs entertainment priority
• Target age group and audience demographics
• Expected visitor numbers and throughput
• Duration of the exhibition
• Budget range including all associated costs

Space Assessment

Measure your exhibition space carefully and create a floor plan. Consider ceiling height for tall species, floor load capacity for heavy models, power outlet locations, and visitor flow paths around each display.

Species Selection Strategy

Create Variety

Include a mix of carnivores and herbivores, large and small species, and different movement styles. This variety keeps visitors engaged and encourages them to explore the entire exhibition.

Star Attractions

Every exhibition needs at least one or two headline dinosaurs that draw visitors. T-Rex and Triceratops are consistently the most popular choices.

Educational Value

Include species that represent different geological periods and dinosaur groups to provide comprehensive educational content.

Budget Allocation

Allocate approximately 60% of your dinosaur budget to star attractions, 30% to supporting pieces, and 10% to interactive elements. This balance creates an impressive exhibition while managing costs effectively.
